50 Cent has been largely quiet on the music front for many years now. The rapper, who became a household name more than 20 years ago with hits like “In Da Club” and “21 Questions,” is still managing impressive feats on the charts, even though he hasn’t released a new album in a decade.
The hip-hop star’s Best Of compilation has now lived on the U.K. albums chart for 150 weeks as of this frame. That’s an impressive number for any rapper to reach in the country, especially one who has been focused on other creative pursuits for quite some time–but that hasn’t stopped fans across the pond from continuing to listen to and buy his work.
This week, 50 Cent’s Best Of is steady at No. 45 on the U.K.’s ranking of the most-consumed albums in that nation. It’s risen as high as No. 31 in the past, which is unexpectedly low for a title that’s spent so many weeks on the tally.
Best Of is 50 Cent’s second project to hit 150 weeks on the U.K. albums ranking. The compilation joins the rapper’s debut full-length Get Rich or Die Tryin’, which is now up to 192 turns on the roster–a number it improves upon this time around.
Get Rich or Die Tryin’ returns to the albums chart in the U.K., reappearing once again at No. 97 on the list. This frame, it earns the second-lowest comeback on the ranking. Only Phil Collins’ The Singles (No. 98) relaunches lower.
No other album from 50 Cent is close to reaching triple-digit weeks on the U.K. albums list. His sophomore release The Massacre is the rapper’s next-longest-charting title, and it’s thus far only collected 41 stints on the tally.
Best Of remains 50 Cent’s most recent new placement on this chart in the U.K. It debuted in August 2018, and since then, fans in the nation have been largely focusing their listening on that title.
