Jayden Daniels’ learning curve is faster than Caleb Williams, according to Keyshawn Johnson.

Last Wednesday, USC star quarterback Caleb Williams proved why he is most likely to be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft. It was the first time since the 2023 college football season when the young quarterback threw the ball, that too in a fancy manner.
After everything that happened at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, which sparked outrage among the fans screaming Caleb Williams was a red flag, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner showed off his exceptional skills at his school’s Annual Pro Day. He showcased the same in front of 32 teams’ representatives.
However, it still didn’t convince Keyshawn Johnson of why Williams has the highest odds to be the No. 1 pick. If one asks the former NFL wide receiver, he would still pick his favorite– Jayden Daniels over Williams at any given moment.
Johnson said in the recent episode of Undisputed, about his hyped performance at Buckeyes’ Pro Day:
When you talk about his [Caleb Williams] workout, his workout from the feedback I got, was just a workout. There was nothing that blew anybody away. It was nothing that hurt him. It was just a guy throwing a football. There was nothing like, ‘Oh my god! Did you see that?’ People were just like, ‘Yeah, it was okay.’Keyshawn Johnson said
Why does Keyshawn Johnson consider Jayden Daniels better than Caleb Williams?
The ESPN analyst argued that the NFL is nothing like college football. Regardless of Williams’ achievements at USC, he would have to work on a lot of things to be able to succeed in the National Football League. He also explained why he considers Daniels a better quarterback than Williams.
For instance, according to Johnson, Williams would have to work on:
Getting underneath the center with five linemen across, defenders coming in, dropping back, hitting his back foot whether it’s a three-step or five-step with a hitch whatever, play action seven-step drop– all of those things. He’s got to learn all of those things.Keyshawn Johnson stated

Johnson explained that while Williams has to learn these things, Daniels also knows from his past experiences, making his learning curve faster than the USC QB. He clarified that he wasn’t saying Williams can’t achieve that, but when it comes to this moment, Daniels is certainly ahead of that situation.
