A major relief for the Dallas Cowboys star quarterback, as Dallas police decided not to pursue the criminal charges further, against him. With that, the investigation of the alleged sexual assault claim from seven years ago has officially concluded.

A source close to WFAA reported on Thursday that the Dallas Police Department did not find any relevant evidence to support the claim of the alleged victim against Dak Prescott. Therefore, the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office has rested the case.

An investigation was conducted and the case is closed... Detectives determined there was insufficient evidence an offense was committed.

The Dallas police spokesman Kristin Lowman said

The woman and the NFL quarterback have sued each other, the latter claiming the former made false allegations of sexual assault against him to extort money from him. In response to this, the woman’s attorney Yohel Zehaie filed a countersuit, labeling the incident as rape, which they claimed occurred in the parking lot of a strip club, XTC Cabaret.

Fighting against Prescott’s civil suit, Zehaie earlier withdrew the lawsuit and refiled it in Collin County. He expressed his commitment to pursuing the case further, even though the police dropped it, claiming Prescott’s version had a lot of inconsistencies.

Amidst the ongoing legal battle between the woman and Prescott, there have erupted another dispute between their attorneys. As Levi McCathern, the three-time Pro Bowler’s attorney has stood firm on his innocence and also anticipated serious consequences for the alleged victim and her attorney.

On the other hand, Zehaie accused McCathern of labeling all the women suing his clients as extortionersWhile McCathern has been fervently focusing on defending the NFL quarterback by addressing the allegations as false.

Prescott has promised to donate the $100 million for which he sued the woman, to the Joyful Heart Foundation– an organization dedicated to helping domestic and sexual abuse victims, especially child abuse. However, the matter is yet to take place in courtrooms.
