Jennings implied he would do a better job than Eagles receiver if he was on their team.

Jauan Jennings is currently a second-string wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers. But he is confident that he can do a better job than anyone on the Philadelphia Eagles team, barring a few players.

The Eagles, who are the 2022 NFC winners, will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night in a wild-card round. But they are a few players short for the game. Star wide receiver AJ Brown is out of the game with a knee injury. Jennings believes that he would have been more useful if he were in Philadelphia compared to their remaining receivers.

On Sunday, Jennings shared a photo on Instagram Stories featuring Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver Quez Watkins. There was a caption that read,

[Jalen Hurts] [prolly] wishing he had me. Who else they got at receiver, because [I] truly don't know. Is Number 6 playing? Sheesh [I] hope so or it's [over] for them folks.

There has been no shortage of trash talk between Eagles and 49ers players in the recent past. Before their Week 13 game in Philadelphia, Brown egged Eagles supporters to start trolling 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel to distract him.

Jauan Jennings could face the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round

During their earlier meeting, Jauan Jennings played a key role in the 49ers landslide 42-19 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. His only touchdown in 2023 came in the game from three catches for 44 yards. The 27-year-old only has 19 catches for 265 yards this season, the lowest in his career.

The 49ers drafted him in the 7th round from Tennessee in 2020. Although he had five touchdowns in his rookie season, 2022 was his best year in the NFL. He had 35 catches for 416 yards and one touchdown. So far, he has played six games in the postseason, catching 10 passes from 16 targets for 110 yards.

Jennings should focus on helping his team win rather than poking fun at the Eagles. They will be facing the tricky challenge of the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round, who beat the Dallas Cowboys, becoming the first 7th seeded team to win a playoff game.

This will be the two teams’ 10th meeting in the postseason (an NFL record). History is on the 49ers’ side, with 5 wins from their previous 9 encounters. Not only that, they have also won each of the last four. The last Packers win came all the way back in the 2001 Wild Card round, as per Packers Wire. If the Niners win again then depending on Tampa Philly’s result, Jennings could once again face the Eagles in the NFC Championship game.
