Michael Jordan’s Praise of Caitlin Clark Sparks Social Media Frenzy.

Basketball icon Michael Jordan recently sparked a social media frenzy with his glowing praise of Caitlin Clark, describing her as a rare player with the most versatile skills in today’s game. Jordan boldly asserted that Clark surpasses all players listed on the U.S. Olympic team roster for the upcoming 2024 Olympics.

Jordan’s remarks, widely circulated across various social media platforms, have ignited intense debate and discussion among basketball enthusiasts and pundits alike. Known for his keen eye for talent and impeccable standards, Jordan’s endorsement of Clark carries significant weight within the basketball community.

Clark, known for her exceptional scoring ability and court vision, has been a standout performer in collegiate and international basketball. Her skills have drawn comparisons to some of the game’s greatest players, and Jordan’s endorsement further solidifies her rising status in the sport. The endorsement comes at a crucial time as preparations for the 2024 Olympics intensify. Clark’s potential inclusion in the U.S. Olympic team would undoubtedly add a new dimension to the squad, given her versatility and scoring prowess.

While Jordan’s comments have garnered widespread attention and support from Clark’s fans, they have also sparked contrasting opinions and scrutiny from critics and analysts. Some argue that comparing collegiate and professional players may not always be fair or accurate, given the differences in competition levels and experience.

Nevertheless, Jordan’s assertion underscores Clark’s undeniable talent and potential impact on the global basketball stage. As discussions continue to unfold, Clark’s performance leading up to the Olympics will undoubtedly be closely monitored, with expectations and anticipation building around her potential role in the U.S. team.

As the basketball world eagerly awaits the final roster decisions for the 2024 Olympics, Michael Jordan’s endorsement of Caitlin Clark serves as a testament to her rising star power and the evolving landscape of women’s basketball. Whether she secures a spot on the Olympic team or not, Clark’s journey continues to captivate fans and redefine expectations in the sport.

Commercial content 21+.Nearly halfway through the WNBA season, the Rookie of the Year award is Caitlin Clark’s to lose.

– The Indiana Fever superstar is -3000 at FanDuel Sportsbook — a near lock-to win the award. Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink, who was the second-favorite in the race, suffered a torn ACL earlier this week.

The only real competition to Clark for the award is her rival, Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky, who is +1000. Reese is the only other player with odds better than 120-1. After a slow start to the season, Clark has helped turn her and the Fever’s season around.

Indiana opened the season 1-8, leaving many to question if Clark’s talents matched her popularity.

The Fever have since won five of their last seven, including a current three-game winning streak, bringing their record for the season to 6-10 as they head into Friday’s matchup against the Atlanta Dream.

Even after their dreadful start, if the playoffs ended today, the Fever would sneak in with the No. 8 seed. Clark has been the biggest reason why the Fever are in playoff contention a year removed from finishing with the third-worst record in the WNBA. The No. 1 overall draft pick is averaging 16.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists on 39 percent shooting and 32.8 percent from deep.

Clark had perhaps her best game of the season earlier this month, dropping 30 points on 7 of 13 from 3-point land with six assists, eight rebounds and four steals during a win over the Washington Mystics. Last weekend, Clark put up 23 points with nine assists and eight rebounds in an upset over the Sky.

Chicago Sky star rookie Angel Reese had another tense moment with the media, but this latest instance may be the most bizarre one yet.

Angel Reese has made plenty of headlines in the first month of her WNBA career, and not just because of her strong on-court play. She has fueled her rivalry with Caitlin Clark in various ways, including when she cheered on Chennedy Carter’s unnecessary shoulder check on the Indiana guard in their June 1 game.

Reese has had several tense media sessions since turning pro, but the latest one with a local reporter in the Windy City is bound to make headlines for the next little while. Steve Greenberg of the Chicago Sun-Times claims in a new article that he tried to speak to the Chicago rookie for an interview. She told him “I’m good” and delivered a blunt message for the media:

“I know how y’all like to twist my words, so I’m just keeping it short and sweet. I can’t trust any of y’all. So I’m just letting you know – short and sweet.”

Again, this isn’t the first notable clash Angel Reese has had with performers during her rookie year. She told reporters they’re not just watching women’s basketball because of one person (presumably a reference to Clark), and that she’s fine being a villain. Reese has certainly backed up that statement.

The 22-year-old and Carter both refused to apologize to Clark over the aforementioned shoulder hit (in Reese’s case, over her celebration of the hit). The LSU product has averaged 12.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game over her first 13 games. At 5-9, Chicago is tied with the Indiana Fever (6-10) for the final playoff spot.

If fans couldn’t get enough of the Reese-Clark rivalry a month into the season, well, you won’t have to wait long for the next installment. Chicago will host Indiana this Sunday in a 4:00 p.m. EST contest on ESPN.

The Fever have won each of the first two contests, both home games.
