Cardi B phủ nhận cáo buộc kỳ thị người đồng tính sau khi cãi vã với người hâm mộ Nicki Minaj | HipHopDX

Cardi B has firmly denied accusations of homophobia after engaging in a contentious social media altercation with a fan of her long-standing rival, Nicki Minaj.

The Bronx rap sensation took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday (July 23) to address a video that shows a Nicki Minaj fan spitting on her wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood. In the video, the man stands next to Cardi’s life-like model, expressing his disdain: “They don’t have you in the dark shadows for no reason, bitch. Nobody likes you.” He then spits on the figure and derogatorily adds, “Bitch,” before leaving the scene. Fittingly, Nicki Minaj’s hit single “Starships” was playing in the background.

Cardi B responded to the video by questioning the man’s masculinity, tweeting, “But when I said be a BOY.” This comment sparked further interaction, with one user asking if Cardi maintains the same attitude towards celebrity blogger KenBarbie. Cardi retorted, “Ken don’t act like that and can build an IKEA set…. He a man [crying face emoji].”

Another user accused Cardi of being homophobic towards the Nicki fan. Cardi was quick to refute this, writing: “Stop wit the fake homophobia bullshit. Im not homophobic I don’t care wtf you like to fuck and suck and eat on but be a fuckin BOY you a grown ass man spitting at a wax figure of me. I wouldn’t allow no straight man buck on me ever! If you suck dick like me you not buckin on me neither and that’s just that!”

The fan who spat at Cardi’s wax model retaliated by posting a photo of himself next to Nicki Minaj’s wax figure, with the caption: “[cross mark emojis] Be a Mother Be a Wife[.] Worried about me being a boy When your Husband is Messing with Ladies With Sticks @NICKIMINAJ Nicki Is Better #Barbz @BarbzFeedx.”

Despite the allegations, Cardi B has been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ community. In 2022, she criticized homophobes on X, asserting: “Every bad bitch have a gay best friend cousin…if you homophobic you just ugly.” Additionally, Cardi officiated a same-sex wedding in her Facebook series, “Cardi Tries,” where she joined former Cosby kid Raven-Symoné to marry a lesbian couple. During the ceremony, Cardi expressed her gratitude for being part of their special day, declaring, “By the power vested in me by the state of California and my online course, I now pronounce you wife and wife.”

Cardi B’s response to the recent homophobia accusations underscores her ongoing support for the LGBTQ community and highlights her commitment to challenging prejudices, regardless of the source.
