Cardi B is teaming up with BET for the BET Experience, where she’ll be headlining. They and Nicki Minaj aren’t exactly on friendly terms. In case you missed it, BET shaded Nicki Minaj and showed support for Cardi B back in 2018 and 2019.

It’s clear there’s some deep-seated dislike for Nicki in the industry, and even though BET made a public apology, it doesn’t feel sincere. People just can’t handle Nicki’s success and power, especially when they can’t control her.

They later apologized, but the damage was done. Nicki wasn’t having it and said Young Money (her label) would never be involved with their award shows or experiences again. BET is supposed to uplift the Black community, but here they are, pitting Cardi against Nicki and throwing shade. That’s not a good look.

BET should’ve been supporting both of them from the start. But now, they’re all about pushing Cardi because they’re not fans of Nicki. It’s all about marketing for Cardi’s upcoming album since she doesn’t have the same huge fan base as Nicki.
