Christian McCaffrey is the best for the MVP, believes Colin Cowherd.

Colin Cowherd labels 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey the ‘most talented running back ever’ to play the NFL amid MVP conversation

The San Francisco 49ers are on fire this season. With 11 wins out of their 14 games, they are presently the number one team in the NFC Championship. As things stand right now, they are the favorites to secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

The reason behind the success is the understanding between Brock Purdy, their starting quarterback, and Christian McCaffrey, the running back. Both have performed pivotally to secure things for the team.

Veteran analyst Colin Cowherd passed his verdict on this. He believes that McCaffrey has produced an insane level of performance this season. He has surpassed all the other running backs who have played in the league in history. So far, he has had a pathbreaking season this year.

I think he’s the most talented running back ever. Barry Sanders could run like nothing I’ve ever seen, and Walter Payton is up there too, but in terms of blocking, catching, making people miss, running past them, and running, power, finesse.

Cowherd said from his show Herd with Colin Cowherd

It’s as good as anything I’ve ever seen. On pace for 24 touchdowns and 2,200 yards IN THIS ERA in insane and makes no sense. If you’re historically amazing, then you should be the recipient of honors and awards.

He added

This will add some extra brownies to McCaffrey’s tally, who earlier received huge praise from his quarterback, Brock Purdy.

Cowherd considered McCaffrey for MVP

This will add some extra brownies to McCaffrey’s tally, who earlier received huge praise from his quarterback, Brock Purdy.

Christian McCaffrey is the Niners’ MVP, not Purdy. Christian McCaffrey is the world’s best running back. Brock Purdy is a ‘good’ quarterback, maybe ‘very good’, maybe I’m under-selling him, but I see otherworldly talent here [with McCaffrey]. The NFL’s reluctance to give running backs the MVP award has now risen to comical.

He said

He’s on pace to have 24 touchdowns and 2,200 yards on a team that is stacked – Kittle, Aiyuk, Deebo. They're stacked with weapons and he can finish with a touchdown in half a game, and 2,200 yards. That’s unbelievable

In addition to this, the analyst also blamed the league for being reluctant to give non-QB players the MVP award.
