Both Lamar Jackson and Brock Purdy are MVP favorites for the season.

Emmanuel Acho claims he trusts ‘game manager’ Brock Purdy more than Lamar Jackson ahead of ‘spicy’ 49ers-Ravens MNF clash

The clash between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens is much anticipated as both teams have mostly torn their opponents apart. If the 49ers are the best team in the NFC, then the Ravens are the best in the AFC so far. Both are strong contenders for the Super Bowl and both of their quarterbacks are competing for this year’s MVP.

Ahead of the game, Emmanuel Acho made a forecast. He said that the 49ers squad, led by Brock Purdy, have high chances to beat the Ravens. The analyst found Purdy more mature as he can read and control the game more than Jackson.

Brock Purdy, over the last 375 days, has done everything in order for you to trust him over Lamar Jackson. December 11, 2022, Brock Purdy made his first start. Since then, he has more playoff wins than Lamar Jackson. Since then Brock Purdy played at a higher level than Lamar Jackson. Literally for 375 days now, Brock Purdy has earned your trust.

Both teams are presently in the same boat as both have registered the same number of wins against the same number of losses. With 11 wins on their tally, both would like to make it 12. The postseason is secured for them, hence both will strive for the No.1 spot in their respective conferences.

Emmanuel Acho does not have high trust in Lamar Jackson

Despite acknowledging Lamar Jackson earlier, Acho does not believe that he can have the last laugh over Brock Purdy. He has pointed out multiple factors that give Brock Purdy a stellar edge over Jackson.

Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson (SI)

He (Brock Purdy) has three games with four touchdowns and no interception. Lamar Jackson does not have four touchdowns and no turnovers. He has four total touchdown games, however he has lost and fumbled in those games. So Brock Purdy has done things this season that Lamar Jackson has not done. Brock Purdy has done things in playoffs that Lamar Jackson has not done... so, I trust Brock Purdy more than I trust Lamar Jackson.

Since Lamar Jackson’s MVP season in 2019, this is the first time he has remained healthy and produced a series of praiseworthy performances. It is to be seen whether he carries his team to the Super Bowl this year and proves Acho wrong.
