David Njoku was responding to Micah Parsons statement that Cleveland is still a city with a football team that does not know how to win.
‘Furious’ David Njoku claps back at Micah Parsons over Browns disrespect: “Talking down on Cleveland is something I won’t accept”

The Cleveland Browns have made a major turnaround from a few years ago. The team had established itself as a bottom-tier football team that struggled to win games and make the playoffs; fortunately for the fans of the team, those years are now behind them.

Gone are the days when the Cleveland Browns were looked at as an embarrassment of a football team. Now, the team is a potential Super Bowl contender.

To Micah Parsons, however, the Cleveland Browns are still not a good football team. During the Pro Bowl at a Madden 24 challenge, the linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys made the statement “Cleveland is Cleveland,” hinting that the city continues to have a football team that is struggling to find the recipe for success.

I feel like Cleveland raised me from a boy to a man. Becoming a man in this city, it means more than what most may think. So with Parsons and the other idiot just talking down on Cleveland is just something I won't accept, no matter what. No matter what happens, I will never accept it. So just, with that being said, respect the city, bro. It's very simple.

Njoku responded with a stern message to Parsons

The tight end has been committed to the city that drafted him in 2017 with the 29th pick and is not going to tolerate any slander against it.

Micah Parsons’ comments have resulted in the emergence of a new rivalry between him and David Njoku

When Njoku came aboard in 2017, he was just a tight end coming out of the University of Miami, but now he has established himself as one of the better tight ends across the NFL.

The city has done a lot for him; he has grown from being a boy to a man surrounded by the love and support of the fans.

It is safe to say that there has to be some form of bad blood between David Njoku and Micah Parsons following the linebacker’s comments and the tight end’s response to the same. Njoku had quickly responded to Parsons earlier at the Pro Bowl, too, when he made the initial statements.

He called him out while saying the Cowboys face the same fate as the Browns.

He said Cleveland is Cleveland, but we're both here. We're both playing this Madden game. So what are you saying Cleveland is Cleveland? Dallas is Dallas?

Micah Parsons said

He is referring to the fact that if the Browns are being slandered for not having made the Super Bowl in a long time, then so should the Cowboys, because it has been three decades since they were last there. For the time being, it seems unlikely that this beef between the two will be sorted out anytime soon.
