Dak Prescott still has one more year left in his current contract.
During a recent press conference at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones addressed the media. In the press conference, Jones claimed his team can go all in, even if they fail to extend Dak Prescott.
Absolutely I do, because what is the all in approach? I'm not going all in if don't get an extension? We don't have a situation like that. You just have to adjust where you going [or] how you going all in.Jerry Jones said
He was asked about what they were going to do about Prescott’s $59.4 million cap hit in the 2024 season. Jones said he would address the contract situation but refused to say whether it would be an extension or an adjustment to clear cap space.
The main thing is he’s going to be our quarterback. I’ve got my mind all-in as far as we’re going to do everything that we can do to have this year be as successful as it can be and one of the reasons I feel good about it is because of Dak is for sure our quarterback.Jerry Jones said
So, going all in seems to be the motto of Jerry Jones in the upcoming season. After constantly failing in the playoffs, Jones certainly wants to see success in the 2024/25 season.
Jerry Jones also addressed the paternity suit
During the press conference at the NFL Combine, the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones fielded many questions regarding his team’s future. Jones was also asked about the paternity suit he is facing.

Jones refused to answer the question, claiming he can’t comment on an ongoing legal issue. Furthermore, he also said that he expects “much perceived, better, news in the future.”
The Cowboys owner is being sued by a 27-year-old woman named Alexandra Davis, who claims to be his daughter. Recently, a judge ordered Jones must submit to a paternity test to prove he isn’t the biological father of the woman.
Nonetheless, Jones believes the legal issues will work through itself. He is currently focused on the Cowboys’ off-season decisions. Especially, he is focused on the draft process ahead of the 2024 Draft.
