Williams loved playing in LA but he hopes to spend a long time with the team that drafts him in 2024.
The Chicago Bears, who hold the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, are projected to select USC Alumni Caleb Williams. Chicago traded away their starting quarterback, Justin Fields, to the Pittsburgh Steelers to make space for the rumored arrival of Williams.
There are only 5 days left until every football fan will know where the former Trojan ends up. Unless something major comes up, in this case, a QB-needy team proposes a blockbuster trade, Williams is bound to become a Chicago Bear.
During a recent appearance on Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder‘s The Pivot Podcast, Caleb Williams expressed that he wants to follow in the footsteps of Tom Brady. The 7-time Super Bowl winner’s two-decade-long career with the New England Patriots is his inspiration.
Love Los Angeles [USC]. LA was great. Now that I want to play in one place for 20 years and chase one guy, No. 12 [Tom Brady TB12], I want a place that loves balls. That's all I've heard about Chicago so far, which is exciting for me.Caleb Williams said
Some high aspirations of the former Heisman trophy winner here. He also had made some other comments that might raise football lovers’ eyebrows even further.
Caleb Williams wants to dominate the NFL like Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers
The 22-year-old dreams of having a career like Brady. Yet according to him, his playstyle is similar to that of another great, Aaron Rodgers. Not only that, he loves watching basketball videos of NBA legends, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan.

It's like the Kobe-MJ kind of thing, where you watch and mimic things. Trying things that Patrick Mahomes does, [and] trying things that Tom Brady does. So I try sitting back watching, learning.Williams told Clark and Crowder
Williams understands that there’s a vast difference between playing in college and starting games in the NFL. The level goes up a notch, and if he fails to adapt quickly, then his dream of winning Super Bowl titles will fade away like 90% of players before him. However, he has faith in his ability and skillset to thrive in the big league.
I want to win Super Bowls, [and] I want to be up there with those guys competing versus them. some of what Pat [Mahomes] does, some of what Aaron Rodgers does, because, I mean, they're the best, and to be the best, you want to learn from the best.Williams said
Before catching Brady, Williams needs to equal what his predecessor, CJ Stroud, achieved last season. After being selected No. 2 overall by the Houston Texans, Stroud broke rookie records. He became only the fifth player to cross 4000 yards in his first year, recorded a playoff win in his rookie season, and led the league in passing yards per game (273.9) and touchdown-to-interception ratio (4.6) in the same season, joining Tom Brady.
Williams certainly has all the necessary tools in his arsenal to match those tallies. He has the arm strength, rapid feats, and pocket presence.
