During the ‘Eras Tour’ concert at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos Stadium, a Swiftie named Ana Clara Benevides Machado lost her life. Currently, the temperatures in Rio de Janeiro are running high.

According to PBS.org, the temperature was 102 F on the day that Ana died. It was also speculated that there was no availability of water in the stadium after the authorities prohibited water bottles in the stadium. After the death of Ana, the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro will investigate what unfolded in the stadium.

As per NBC News, the Consumer Delegations Department will investigate the alleged “crime of danger to life or health.” The organizers will be called into the investigation to document their testimonies and “to investigate the facts.”

Estadão, the Brazilian newspaper, reported that the authorities will “investigate everything that fans reported, such as the structure of the place and the availability of water.”

Taylor Swift rescheduled the ‘Eras Tour’ concert from Saturday to Monday due to rising temperatures in the country. She wrote, “The safety and well-being of my fans, fellow performers, and crew has to and always will come first.”

A Brazilian newspaper, Folha de S Paulo, reported the death of Ana Clara Benevides Machado. Ana was rushed to the hospital after she fell unconscious at the stadium, and when she was brought to the hospital, the 23-year-old died due to cardiac arrest.

Taylor Swift took to Instagram after Ana’s death, writing that she did not know much about her, but she knew that Ana was “incredibly beautiful and far too young.”

Swift wrote, “I can’t believe that I’m writing these words, but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this.”

Taylor continued, “I’m not going to be able to speak about this from stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it.” She concluded, “I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil.”
