In a series of tweets, Tyga suggested that Lil Wayne and Eminem are the greatest rappers of all time.
“Lil Wayne & Eminem are the best rappers of all time!” Tyga tweeted last week. “Lyrical word play, delivery, flow, pockets, originality, raw, intentional, clarity, generational influence.”

On Wednesday, March 29, he also shared some love for Nicki Minaj. “Nicki is the best female rapper of all time no one comes close!” he shared. “Word play, punchlines, delivery, pockets, beat selection, creativity. Inflictions.” In a follow-up, he added, “Doja [Cat] is a really good rapper too.”

Except Eminem, Tyga has made music with all the rappers he mentioned. He’s not been shy about sharing his appreciation for Em in the past, though, as he paid tribute to Eminem’s outfit in D12’s “My Band” video with his “Ay Caramba” video last year. The clip for that track came under fire for cultural appropriation, and in response, he apologized to the Mexican-American community and eventually removed it from YouTube.
The tweet from him crowning Em and Wayne the two greatest rappers of all time comes just over a month after Billboard’s list of Greatest Rappers of All Time sparked debate. Wayne appeared at No. 7 on the list, while Eminem appeared at No. 5 much to the chagrin of Melle Mel, who suggested that he was only that high because he’s white. “Obviously he’s a capable rapper,” said Mel. “If Eminem was another n***a like all the rest of us, would he be Top 5 on that list when a n***a that could rhyme just as good as him is 35?”
