After a silence of several months, the Dallas Cowboys finally made a move in the NFL draft as they drafted Tyler Guyton using their No. 29 pick in the first round. However, not everyone seemed happy about it as star linebacker back Micah Parsons’ reaction was caught live on his team’s draft selection.

Not that the linebacker’s contract situation was already a matter of beef with the Cowboys. It appears that he wasn’t happy with their decision to use a first-round pick on Guyton. Especially since the all-time defender gave a list of names to his franchise to keep in consideration while drafting a defender.

A clip of Parsons’ reaction has gone viral on social media, via Bleacher Report, where he can be seen with an awkward face when he hears that the Cowboys drafted the offensive tackle from Oklahoma, Guyton, and not one of the players listed by him. Though he didn’t say anything and gave an awkward laugh, but by the reaction, it was clear that he wasn’t happy would be an understatement.

The star defended and shared a post on X explaining the reason behind his reaction, claiming it was due to him doing 10 push-ups because the Oklahoma tackle didn’t make his list. But he quickly deleted this post.

Micah Parsons’ antics stirring Cowboys front office frustration

Parsons’ reaction to the Cowboys draft pick outside his listed names isn’t that surprising as there have been recent reports stating the front office of Dallas is somewhat frustrated with the defender’s antics.

On an episode of 105.3 The Fan, Shan Shariff revealed that he had spoken to four different people about Parsons’ situation and they all said, “Micah has worn a thin there.” Though it remains a question of how much this is true, Shariff exclaimed if the star defender left the Cowboys, there would surely be a decent amount of “people breathing a sigh of relief.

Parsons is eligible for a contract with the Cowboys and they have picked up the $21.32 million option for the 2025 season. The three-time Pro Bowler seeks a huge contract that would make him the highest-paid defender in the league.
