When the Chicago Bears drafted Rome Odunze, they fulfilled a need for the future. With 2 other Pro-Bowl veteran receivers on the roster, it was crucial for him to create a chemistry with Caleb Williams. They did that during rookie training camp with QB and WR linking up on several pass plays. A video of which has Bears fans excited for the upcoming season.

The video shared by the official channel of the Chicago Bears shows their No. 1 draft pick quarterback dropping back and slinging the ball to Rome Odunze. Those repetitions suggested that the duo were working on screen passes. However, the connection and timing between the two was impeccable, considering they did not play together at the collegiate level. If this serves as a trailer of things to come in the season, Bears fans better get their season tickets ready.

Rome Odunze was drafted with the 9th overall pick to establish a QB WR connection that could last a long time. After all, Keenan Allen is 32 years old and might not be around for too long. That makes Odunze the perfect replacement when the time comes.

However, Odunze is a big physical receiver with great run after catch abilities. This means, the team can start all 3 in 20 or 11 personnel offensive packages. If Caleb Williams and Odunze can form a connection from the off, Bears fans will be able to watch their team tear oppositions apart with their physicality.

For Chicago Bears fans, they have not had a top tier wide receiver since Brandon Marshall turned in an All-Pro season back in 2012. However, Marshall did not have an elite quarterback. Finally, after all these years, the Bears will actually have an offense their fans can be proud of.
