The Dallas Cowboys, led by their franchise quarterback Dak Prescott, suffered an embarrassing 32-48 loss against the Green Bay Packers in their wildcard game on Sunday. Later, the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had to keep his composure for the media despite their heartbreaking loss.

Following the loss, Jerry Jones was seen entering the locker room with other Cowboys executives. Jones might’ve been crushed due to his team’s performance on the field. But, the Cowboys owner didn’t show it in his face while entering the locker room.

The brief video of Jones entering the locker room with his entourage went viral on social media and accumulated more than 2.5 million views within just hours of posting. Check out the footage attached below.

In the locker room, Jones addressed the media, where he was asked about his head coach Mike McCarthy‘s future with the NFC East Champions. Jones said he hasn’t thought about that situation yet and also revealed he hasn’t planned any meeting with McCarthy on Monday.

I haven’t thought one second about it. My whole thought process was getting ready for a playoff game here next week. I am amazed to be sitting where we are right now.

Jerry Jones told the reporters

The 81-year-old owner also addressed the Cowboys’ Sunday loss as the most painful playoff defeat since he purchased the franchise way back in 1989. Like most people, Jones also seemingly had high expectations for his team, which played great football all year long.

The veteran quarterback Dak Prescott played at MVP level throughout the season just to fall flat when his team needed him most in the playoff game. Furthermore, the Cowboys defensive unit, which was statistically one of the top units in the entire league couldn’t find a way to stop Jordan Love‘s offense.

Social media unhappy with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys

NFL fans on social media, especially, the Cowboys fans are fed up with Jerry Jones’ Dallas-based football team consistently failing in the playoffs despite having a great team.

Jones was on the receiving end of criticism for sticking with Dak Prescott, despite his playoff failures. Fans also called for the heads of Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy Check out some of the fans’ reactions attached below.

Nonetheless, the Cowboys are back to the drawing board and might be thinking about giving Trey Lance a shot in the future while using Prescott as their bridge quarterback. On the other hand, the Packers moved on to the second round in the postseason and will face the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round.
