Everyone makes mistakes on the basketball court, from the players to the coaches to the referees. But one mistake made by a WNBA referee on Wednesday night is just indefensible. Wednesday night, Clark and the Indiana Fever topped the Washington Mystics, though a brutal foul on the rookie point guard was not called. How does this not get called? “How does she not get even these obvious foul calls???”

WNBA fans are pretty stunned.

“Now that is how you give someone a hard foul. That is a good hard foul, not a cheap shot. Just a hard foul to make sure Caitlin doesn’t get the and one, but without putting her season in danger or a concussion,” one fan wrote.

“She barely even got the ball I’m crying, that was the clearest foul of the whole night too,” one fan added. “I wonder why wasn’t it challenged? Did Sides think she may need it later? Smh,” one fan added.

“foul calls are missed sometimes. its not targeting its just reffing basketball in real time. yes its a foul yes it should’ve been called,” one fan added.

Clark and the Fever, meanwhile, won their third straight game on Wednesday night.
