Well, looks like Will Compton took the San Francisco 49ers’ defeat at the Super Bowl too personally as the former NFL linebacker went on a rant on his social media accusing the NFL of ‘fixing’ Super Bowl matches. Though it makes sense considering the fact that, just a few days ago, he predicted the Niners’ victory over the reigning Super Bowl champions.

In a conversation with Compas On The Beat, the former Las Vegas Raiders LB expressed his fandom for the 49ers, especially quarterback Brock Purdy whom he believed would “beat the Chiefs’ a**” in the big game. He applauded Purdy and Christian McCaffrey, (who he also believed would win the MVP award) by predicting two touchdowns in the Sunday Night Football game.

Compton made it loud and clear when he said, “Don’t sleep on Brock Purdy” as a warning to the two-time (now three) Super Bowl champions. He put all his money and faith in the 49ers, however when the scoreboard declared the Kansas City Chiefs 25-22 victory, it stunned the former linebacker and he went on his X (formerly Twitter) to pen down his frustration.

The 34-year-old accused the NFL of fixing the Super Bowl LVIII match against San Francisco and once again gave away the victory to Kansas City.

NFL is basically the WWE now. All scripted. Fixed. They pick who they want to win. It’s all for entertainment & honestly, I don’t even know why I watch & care so much. It’s all fake.

However, the former NFL player did not receive the response that he was hoping for as he came into the fans’ limelight, who brutally slammed Compton for his baseless rant after his favorite team’s defeat.

When calling WWE scripted has already received its share of criticism even though it’s been stated scripted, NFL fans did not appreciate Compton disrespecting the football league.

Many fans all over the internet bashed the former NFL linebacker for his rant after losing a bet over the 49ers’ victory.

One fan even mocked him for choosing the Niners’ quarterback over the elite Chiefs quarterback, writing, “You took Brock Purdy over Patrick Mahomes.  Lmfao if that’s scripted I’ll take it.” Another fan wrote, “Is this the energy we had when Brady was winning?” Fans believe though the 49ers had a magical season led by Purdy, and Patrick Mahomes, and the Chiefs won their fourth Super Bowl ring fair and square.
