Wheel of Fortune fans convinced nepo-baby will replace Vanna White or Ryan Seacrest soon – and she’s a familiar face

WHEEL of Fortune fans are increasingly convinced that a certain nepo-baby will replace Vanna White when she retires.

Vanna, 68, who admitted last year that Wheel of Fortune “doesn’t need her” has been co-hosting the popular game show since 1982.

She first appeared on the show on December 13, 1982, as a temporary replacement for Susan Stafford.

Vanna worked alongside Pat Sajak for over four decades until his retirement in 2023.

She is currently co-hosting with Ryan Seacrest, but as she nears 42 years in the same position – fans are speculating her replacement, with some even predicting Ryan’s departure, too.

Many think that Pat’s daughter Maggie, 30, will soon replace Vanna.

Maggie is a television personality and country singer, who has worked as the show’s social media correspondent since 2021, and also appeared on it as a guest letter toucher in the past.

Because of how popular Maggie is with the viewers, fans reckon she’s a surefire replacement for Vanna if and when the time comes.

“Whenever Vanna White retires, do you think Maggie Sajak will take her spot as letter toucher?” said one person on Reddit, sparking a massive conversation among fans.

“Yeah, it’s been obvious for years that she is a textbook nepobaby,” said one person in response.

Another agreed: “Oh definitely. I’ve said that the last few years.”

‘CUTE ENOUGH FOR THE JOB’

“Same, especially when Pat was out sick during the Holiday episodes and Vanna was hosting and Maggie was turning the letters. She’s definitely cute enough for the job,” said a third.

A fourth confessed: “That feels like the plan. It’s the only reason they keep shoving her in our faces. If the only benefit was to give Pat’s daughter a high paying job, she could easily do something in the background.”

While a fifth wrote: “It is largely to be expected that Maggie will succeed Vanna if/when the inevitable day happens.”

A sixth person then predicted a massive show shakeup that could see Maggie replace her father’s replacement Ryan.

They said: “She’s basically a shoe in for the role, in fact I wouldn’t even be surprised if she’s the host of celebrity wheel if Ryan decides to not do the role for the next season.”

Wheel of Fortune’s big changes

The game show has undergone a major transformation now that Ryan Seacrest has taken over hosting duties for Pat Sajak.

-Ryan and Vanna White now host on a brand-new set, featuring a blue-toned stage, a green screen and art-deco wheel design.

-Ryan and Vanna make their big entrance from behind new sliding, brightly lit doors.

-Vanna turns – or now, touches – a modern, digital puzzle board controlled by lasers.

-Ryan brings a new hosting style, and has ditched Pat’s signature cue cards.

-The prizes have also been upgraded, and now include tickets to NFL games, and tickets to A-list concerts.

But not everybody was excited about the possibility of Maggie replacing Vanna in the future.

“I hope not. It’s time for fresh faces, not another Hollywood nepo baby who never had to work their way up in the business,” said one.

While a second said: “I hope not. Ever since her first foray into the show, her presence takes everything down a notch.”

‘THEY COULD DO IT WITHOUT ME’

Last year, Vanna said that the hit game show no longer needed her due to advancements in technology.

“When I first started, I had to physically turn every letter. Then they switched to TV monitors, so I just had to touch the letters and they would light up

“Now the board is operated by a laser. It’s like a flat screen. And when I go to touch the letter, the laser catches my movement. It’s crazy, right?”

The interviewer then hinted that they might not need Vanna anymore, with her replying: “I’m telling you right now, don’t say it. They need me!”

But she then shockingly admitted that “with all the electronics today, obviously they could do it without me”.

There is no signs of slowing down for Vanna, as it stands, with the beloved letter turner still very much the star of the show each time it airs.
