Why was Milwaukee Bucks star Patrick Beverley suspended?

The NBA suspended Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley on May 9, 2024.

They released a statement explaining that his suspension was due to his actions during and after the Bucks’ May 2 playoff loss to the Indiana Pacers.

Beverley was seen throwing a basketball at spectators multiple times and hitting a woman in the head towards the end of the game.

He later told an ESPN reporter that she could not interview him because she was not subscribed to his podcast.

Beverley then asked her to get her microphone out of his face before eventually asked her to leave the interview circle.

This interaction led ESPN to “ban” Beverley from any future appearances with the network.

When will Patrick Beverley serve his suspension?

Patrick Beverley was suspended for four games without pay.

The Milwaukee Bucks were eliminated from the NBA playoffs after their May 2, 2024 loss, effectively ending their season.
