The rapper’s home has been compared to a car park
Kanye West’s Malibu mansion was once an iconic piece of architecture – it is now a gutted mess that’s dropped in value by almost $20 million.
This week, Kanye and his wife Bianca Censori sparked outrage in Japan as she wore a thong – and not a lot else while visiting a shopping mall.
Bianca has become known for her risqué outfits and opted for another controversial look in Italy when she again wore a thong and a pillow while in Florence.
The rapper has previously claimed to be a genius and based on these fashion statements he believes himself to be a visual mastermind.
His ‘visual creativity’ was also evidenced in a home that he had gutted a few years ago with grand plans to redesign that fell flat and has left the home being compared to a car park.
Ye, formerly known as Kanye, purchased the unique property worth $57.3 million (around £45.3 million) in 2021, created by the architectural legend Tadao Ando who only works on a few designs each year.
Quickly the star began stripping out its features, as the kitchen, bathrooms, and even light fixtures were gutted.
Construction halted on the property at the end of last year, and the house was left open to the elements after the windows that gave an ocean view in the beachside property, were removed.

In January this year, the home went up for sale for a price that’s now been reduced to $39, 000, 000 (£30.4 million). This means a loss of $18.3 million for the rapper if it sells at this price.
The New Yorker Magazine shared a video showcasing the ‘disembowelled’ interior of the artist’s home and fans were less than impressed with the rapper’s home improvements.
‘This hurts so much. What a masterpiece it used to be, it’s heartbreaking,’ Avajansson commented.
‘The whole thing looks like an NCP car park anyway,’ BBC radio host Greg James commented, accurately.
The National Car Park (NCP) structures are huge concrete buildings scattered across the UK that are known for their functionality rather than overt beauty.
‘What a travesty against architecture and design. and a distasteful display of the wastefulness of wealthy, spiteful (insane) individuals,’ Sodaly added.
‘Crime against architecture,’ Desertislandcomics commented.

The 47-year-old rapper was sued by the project’s former manager, Tony Saxon who allegedly claimed he was fired from the remodel after he ‘expressed concerns about the extreme danger of such actions’, according to US outlet TMZ.
The lawsuit was filed by Saxon in Los Angeles County Superior Court and outlined that the manager was hired for the project in September 2021.
The American publication obtained the lawsuit and said it claimed Saxon worked 16-hour days on the beach house.
They went on to report that the manager claimed he was sleeping on the floor of the star’s house so that he could fulfil his duties as ‘project manager, caretaker and 24/7 security’ for the home.

After refusing to remove windows and electricity, Saxon suggested that he was fired in November 2021 following allegations Kanye only paid him for one week of work and ignored all his concerns about the dangers surrounding his requests.
TMZ said the suit included a conversation between the pair during which the musician threatened: ‘If you don’t do what I say, you’re not going to work for me, I’m not gonna be your friend anymore and you’ll just see me on TV.’
Saxon shared that he explained to the star he didn’t watch television following which he was fired on the spot by the former partner of Kim Kardashian.
According to NBC News, the lawsuit also suggested that the Flashing Lights rapper had a vision to turn the home into something that resembled ‘a bomb shelter from the 1910s’.
