BC Lions Summer Kickoff Preview

The BC Lions call their home opener the Summer Kickoff, which includes fun perks fans won’t get during the rest of the year.

The team has supplied a schedule overview for fans looking to plan for game day:

BC Lions move concert stage to the field due to “overwhelming demand”

The BC Lions added more seating sections in the lower bowl east end zone for the concert kickoff due to an “overwhelming demand” from fans. Instead of in the stands, the stage is now on the field.

Fans with tickets to the newly added lower bowl seats get on-field passes to the pre-game concert, offering the best view for the performance and game.

Fans who already have tickets but want to be on the field for the concert should contact the BC Lions at 604.589.7627.

Tickets

Despite selling over 50,000 tickets, many seats remain available for the home opener; the game sold out before the BC Lions opened more seating.

Tickets start at around $50 and go up to $324, depending on where they are in the stadium.

Restrictions

BC Place has strict bag allowances and guests will be required to participate in security screening that may include the use of a metal detector. Fans should arrive early to allow time for screening.

The standard bag policy allows “small purses or belt bags” up to 6.5” by 8.5″ and clear bags up to 12” by 12” by 6.” The stadium may make exceptions for diaper bags and medically necessary items (see second slide).
