She was a fan-favourite alongside former anchor Pat Sajak, who hosted from 1981 to 2024, and who now acts as executive producer.
South Carolina-born Vanna, who worked as a model before bagging her plum TV role, now fronts Wheel of Fortune with Ryan Seacrest, 49 – who recently enraged fans with a huge blunder.
Now the mom of two, who is on a reported $10million a year salary, has let slip just how many hours she puts in for her whopper pay cheque.
In a chat with the Elvis Duran and The Morning Show, she said: “We film about 34 days a year.
“That’s it. But [we film] six shows a day.
“Come on… You could feel bad for me.”
Host Elvis Duran replied: “I do not feel sorry for you one bit.
“That sounds like a great job.”
When Vanna was asked if that ratio meant she laps up 331 days off a year, she replied: “Yeah, I guess so.
“I’ve never looked at it like that.”
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Vanna scoops up an estimated $10million annual salary from the show.
This means she is paid approximately $294K per day.
Her work reveal came after fans were convinced Vanna had dropped the f-bomb live on the show – proving no amount of cash can prevent a red-faced moment on-screen.
OFF AIR
Off-screen, Vanna was recently seen looking unrecognisable as she dressed in a tracksuit and ran errands in LA.
Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline

Although Pat and Vanna have been a staple on the game show for decades, there have been other hosts
Chuck Woolery was the host from 1975 to 1981
He co-hosted alongside Susan Stafford (1975 to 1982)
Vanna White then stepped in as hostess in 1982 and has been ever since
After a contract and salary dispute, the show got rid of Chuck and brought in Pat in 1982
Pat hosted with Susan for one season
He then left the game show in 1989 to host a late-night talk show for CBS
For five months, NFL player Rolf Benirschke took his place
In July 1989, Bob Goen hosted the show on CBS
He hosted for a year and a half until the show was canceled in 1991
The show was then moved to ABC with Pat and Vanna hosting for the foreseeable future
In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest as quickly named as his replacement
Vanna recently revealed she’s worn over 8,000 on Wheel of Fortune to date – and let slip where they go after taping.
Appearing on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, she said: “I don’t get to keep the dresses.
“I’ve worn over 8,000 dresses, where would I wear these dresses?” she then asked the audience as they reacted in disbelief.
“They do let me borrow them sometimes for special events,” she quickly noted.
She was then asked about the shoes, to which she revealed that she has her own shoes that she wears and keeps at the studio before revealing she gets given the shoes too.
“They bring in shoes too,” she said, “so I wear Wheel of Fortune shoes as well.”
