Bernie Mac Show ‘Baby Girl’ Reveals Beef With Co-Star Kellita Smith: I Don’t F*ck With Her

Actress Dee Dee known for her role as “Baby Girl” on The Bernie Mac Show, would surprise fans that she and her co-star Kellita Smith have no relationship. Davis would directly tell fans online that she and Smith will probably never be cool.

Reporting live from Iris Club in Atlanta for Comedy High News, I’m Janaba. Actors not getting along with their co-stars behind the scenes is not a new story, but it is always shocking for many when those same co-stars played good friends or family members on camera. Former child actor Dee Davis, most notably known for her time on the Bernie Mack Show as Baby Girl, would catch the attention of many online after she would make several statements in connection to the Bernie Mac Show.

During a live stream the other night, the former actress would end up revealing that she and actress Kalita Smith, who played her aunt Wanda on the sitcom, don’t have a relationship in real life. And more specifically, she would say she doesn’t f with Smith. No. Are me and her cool? No. Will we ever talk again? Probably not.

Will we ever be cool? No. And that’s what it is. I’m talking about uh the woman that played Bernie’s wife on the show. No. Me and her ain’t cool. That’s it. That’s it. I don’t with her. That’s it. In her latest video, Davis, who is now a mother of two, wouldn’t specify why she no longer gets along with her TV aunt, but made it very clear that the two will probably never be on good terms again.

Back in 2018, the remaining cast of the show, including both women, would team up with the Aspire network for a TV reunion to touch on some of their most loved moments working next to the late Bernie Mack. From the looks of the footage and pictures on set, both Davis and Smith were seen enjoying the moment with their cast together.

Davis’s confession has even reminded some viewers of the time that the late Malcolm Jamar Warner would reveal that he and Eddie Griffin weren’t the best of friends while filming Malcolm and Eddi. A part of her most recent reveal, Davis would later express being open to only doing a podcast with her former co-stars Jeremy Suarez, who played her brother Jordan, and Camille Windbush, who played her sister Vanessa.

Now, interesting enough, Davis would at one point even get upset with fans asking how did the passing of Bernie Mack affect her. She would go on to explain how disrespectful a question like that was. How does death affect you? Like y’all look, I’m sorry. Y’all be asking like the dumbesting questions.

Like I do not like questions that relate to Bernie’s passing. I feel like that’s ignorant. I feel like that’s rude. I don’t sit here and be like, “How’d your how did you feel when your grandma died?” what? Why would like No, I don’t take uh kindly to that. Now, after these clips of her interview have circulated online, Davis has now responded to at least one of the moments.

While resharing a story covering her comments about people asking her about Bernie’s passing, she would write, “Really working on my responses. An insensitive question gets an insensitive answer.” As of this writing, Smith has yet to respond to Davis’s comments. Let’s talk about it more in the comments below. Dee Davis Reveals Shocking Fallout with Kalita Smith from The Bernie Mac Show

Reporting live from Iris Club in Atlanta for Comedy High News, I’m Janaba. Behind-the-scenes tensions among actors are not new, but when those same actors, who portray close friends or family members on screen, fall out in real life, it can be shocking for fans. Dee Davis, who became famous for her role as “Baby Girl” on The Bernie Mac Show, has recently opened up about a surprising and heated fallout with her former co-star, Kalita Smith, who portrayed her Aunt Wanda on the beloved sitcom.

A Shocking Revelation

In a live-stream session that has since gone viral, Davis did not hold back. She made it clear that she and Kalita Smith do not have a relationship in real life, despite their close-knit on-screen connection. “No, are me and her cool? No. Will we ever talk again? Probably not. Will we ever be cool? No. And that’s what it is,” Davis declared firmly.

These words have sent waves through the entertainment community, especially for fans who admired the chemistry between Davis and Smith as family members on The Bernie Mac Show. Viewers who grew up watching the show are now left questioning what happened behind the scenes to cause such a dramatic rift between the two actresses.

Davis, now a mother of two, chose not to go into detail about the reasons behind the falling out but emphasized that reconciliation with Smith is highly unlikely. “I don’t f with her,” she bluntly stated. “That’s it.”

A Reunion That Once Seemed Harmonious

This revelation has come as a shock, especially considering the positive public interactions the two had in the past. In 2018, the remaining cast of The Bernie Mac Show, including both Davis and Smith, reunited with the Aspire Network for a TV special where they reflected on their most cherished moments working alongside the late Bernie Mac. The reunion footage and pictures from the set showed Davis and Smith enjoying the moment together with their fellow cast members, suggesting that everything seemed amicable at the time.

But as is often the case with long-running shows, not everything is as it seems. The online community has been buzzing about how something as seemingly simple as a reunion could mask underlying tensions that were not visible to the public eye. For many, Davis’s recent comments have reignited memories of other famous behind-the-scenes conflicts, such as when Malcolm-Jamal Warner opened up about his own rocky relationship with co-star Eddie Griffin during their time on Malcolm & Eddie. These revelations add another layer of complexity to the dynamics of Hollywood sets, where professional and personal relationships often intertwine in unexpected ways.

Davis Speaks Out on Other Topics

In addition to her candid admission about her strained relationship with Kalita Smith, Dee Davis also made headlines for her strong opinions about personal questions from fans. During a live stream, she expressed her discomfort with questions regarding how the passing of Bernie Mac had affected her. “How does death affect you?” Davis asked, rhetorically. “Y’all be asking like the dumbest questions. Like, I do not like questions that relate to Bernie’s passing. I feel like that’s ignorant. I feel like that’s rude. I don’t sit here and be like, ‘How’d you feel when your grandma died?'” she said.

Her response to such questions was firm and clear, and it highlighted the discomfort that some celebrities feel when personal tragedies are turned into public spectacle. Davis’s frustration with these types of inquiries led to her sharing a message on social media. “Really working on my responses. An insensitive question gets an insensitive answer,” she wrote, showing that while she might not always give the answers people expect, she’s unapologetic about her feelings.

Is Public Discourse Necessary?

Davis’s revelations have sparked much discussion among fans and the broader public. While some feel that she was right to speak out about her experiences and the fallout with Smith, others argue that airing such personal issues publicly might not have been the best move. The public has long been fascinated by the lives of celebrities, and Davis’s openness has given them insight into a side of Hollywood that many rarely see.

But was it necessary for Davis to make these details public? Some critics argue that she could have kept her feelings about Smith to herself, especially given the potential for further drama or negative public backlash. Others, however, feel that Davis was simply being honest and true to herself by sharing her feelings, especially when it came to responding to insensitive questions from fans.

In the world of celebrity culture, there is often a fine line between what should remain private and what is acceptable for the public to know. However, given how much the entertainment industry thrives on drama, there is no doubt that revelations like these only add fuel to the fire of public interest.

The Impact of Personal Conflicts in Hollywood

The ongoing fascination with celebrity feuds and behind-the-scenes drama is nothing new. Hollywood, like any other industry, is a place where egos, personalities, and professional tensions can lead to friction between co-stars. However, when such conflicts involve beloved characters from popular shows, it can create a sense of betrayal for fans who have grown up watching these stars on-screen, living out fictionalized versions of relationships that seem so real.

In the case of The Bernie Mac Show, the chemistry between the actors, especially Davis and Smith, was a significant part of what made the show so special. Their on-screen portrayal of family bonds had viewers believing in the authenticity of their relationships. The fact that their off-screen dynamic now seems to be the opposite of what fans saw on-screen leaves many disillusioned.

But as time goes on, it becomes clear that behind-the-scenes dramas are as much a part of Hollywood as the public image that actors portray. Dee Davis and Kalita Smith’s fallout, though painful for fans to witness, is just one example of the complex and sometimes volatile nature of relationships in the entertainment world.

What’s Next for Dee Davis?

For now, Dee Davis has made it clear that she is open to reconnecting with some of her former co-stars, particularly Jeremy Suarez (who played her brother Jordan) and Camille Winbush (who played her sister Vanessa). She expressed interest in possibly doing a podcast with them in the future, which would allow fans to get a glimpse of the dynamic between them and hear about their experiences working on the show.

As for Kalita Smith, she has yet to publicly respond to Davis’s comments. Whether the two will ever reconcile remains to be seen. For now, fans are left to speculate about the reasons behind their fallout and what it means for their respective careers moving forward.

Conclusion: The Reality Behind the Glitz and Glamour

At the end of the day, the entertainment industry is filled with real people who experience real conflicts. While many fans idolize celebrities and their on-screen personas, the truth is that Hollywood is no different from any other workplace, where personalities clash, relationships form, and sometimes, things fall apart. Dee Davis’s recent revelations serve as a reminder that even the most beloved TV families aren’t always as harmonious behind the scenes. The fallout with Kalita Smith may be a shocking development, but it is ultimately just another example of the complexities of life in the public eye.
