Hello everybody and welcome back to the channel. Well, Kendrick Perkins always in some kind of debate, always in some kind of controversy. this time. I mean, we know Kendrick Perkins played the NBA. Um, he’s originally from Bumont, which if you’re not familiar, he’s from Bumont, Texas. That’s about hour five, hour and 10, whatever, depending on traffic.

 Uh, west of Houston, Texas. And Houston, you know, not showing him any love right now based on some comments he made. Now, we know how big Texas is on football and the Houston, you know, fan base. They’re full on Houston Texans. Got some Cowboys from some of the older heads that were already Cowboys before the Texans came along, but they backed their boys.

 And this is what Kendrick Perkins had to say as it relates to uh the Houston Texans uh starting quarterback right now, CJ Stra. Here’s the thing. CJ Stra is is not it, bro. He’s not it. He’s not it. If you want to keep it real, like he came out, he had a great rookie. What you mean it? He What I’m saying is he’s not that he’s not number two it.

 He’s not number two pick it. He’s not He’s going to be just a starter. He’s not He don’t have it factor. What kind of it? He’s not that quarterback that’s gonna take the Texans and the Texans fan base to the promised land. He’s not, bro. And you know this, how much film y’all watch on the quarterback? Enough. Huh? Huh? Yeah. A lot. Right.

 So, from his rookie season till now, has he went forward or backwards? You regret. Okay. He’s Hold on. Hold on. He’s regressed. And the thing that I’m watching about him, he still can’t He still can’t throw to his left side. That’s a problem. He still don’t know how to scan the field when his first option is not there. That’s another problem.

 So when I’m looking at it, is he your guy? No, he’s not your guy. That don’t grow on trees. Huh? That right there, that number two pick that don’t grow on no trees. What you mean it don’t grow on trees? What I mean by that? Ain’t no CJ Style just now at the bar or something. Let’s get something about the Hey, that This is See, we stuck with this for you talking about like we going to just kick him in his ass.

I didn’t say I was about to. You talking about for him not to be? That mean we talking about doing some other I’m saying Okay. So what is your goal? But you saw clashes of of the number two. I don’t want to see. You said you had a good rookie season, right? All I’m Yeah. a good rookie season. Then what happened in his second season, but if you had that, you got something to build on if if he know what a good rookie season.

You got a This is his third season, right? I know. What I’m saying is you’ve seen ability. So if he’s lost some of that, you can find a way to get it back. And they and they haven’t helped him with the stuff they put around. They were a better offense. They were a better offense as a whole his rookie year. Now, that actually, you know, sent Houston, Texas fans in an uproar.

They’re like, “Hold on, buddy. You were supposed to, you know, be doing all these things. We had invited you. I think he was supposed to be at some ribbon cutting. They started cutting Kendrick Perkins off. They cancelled his appearances in the city.” Like, they are so serious. They not playing with uh with Perk.

 you get away with that on ESPN, but when you got to come back to the community, that’s fine. Just know we closing doors here. And Kendrick Perkins actually spoke on it and spoke about it and had to defend himself on another uh podcast. Take a listen here. Now, let’s get down to a serious business. Houston Texans against the Ravens. Give me some on CJ Strauss this week. How you feel? Tell you what, how you feel? Tell you what, and how you felt about, huh, man? This is what I’m saying.

 I just told him this before the break. If we going to put our foot in his ass, if he would have lost that game, let’s have a proper discussion about him winning and winning, man. He got to win. He was playing against four touchdowns on the road, man. and he was playing against me, you and Bun. That’s how depleted they That’s how depleted they roster was.

 And look, the Texans, the Texas fan base, if y’all thought I was going to come on here this weekend to say I apologize and all this  you got it wrong. And you think I give a damn Listen, I got banned. Okay, I got banned. I was supposed to get, you know, be on the field for ribbon cutting on the the 28th.

 I get a message that says, “Hey, we saw your comments on Legend talk about CJ Stra and they’re not happy. Uh, so you can’t be part of the ceremony.” I’m like, “Oh, okay. Cool.” So now now you really under the radar. Now I’m really watching you on the clock for real now. Yo, Kendrick Perkins is crazy. Talking about now you now you on the clock for real now.

 Now you on the clock for real now. It is, you know, and and like I said, Houston’s not playing with him. They they canled him. You know, Kendrick was like, “Cool.” But that that was something he he probably had planned and they, you know, he probably turned down other things or maybe didn’t schedule something he could have done that day based on thinking he was going to be there for a ribbon cutting.

 Now they like, “Nah, you you talking too greasy about our young bull.” And uh you know CJ Strad, he did have kind of a a sophomore slump obviously from his his brilliant rookie season. I mean he was he was playing lights out uh the his rookie year, but he you know it’s not all on him. Um you know things uh some things changed with the Texans roster.

So it can’t be completely laid on CJ Stra for his fallout. While he is c, you know, obviously culpable for some, but Kendrick Perkins like he not he not the guy. I mean, I don’t think he’s played bad enough to say that yet. I mean, let’s look at people who they had counted out like Baker Mayfield and look at the last two seasons Baker’s had.

Like Baker is balling out again this year on an early what looks like MVP attempt run. You know what I’m saying? Like Baker is straight balling. And if you would look back to Baker maybe towards the end of his stint with the Browns, I wouldn’t have been surprised if somebody would told me back then that Baker Mayfield would not even be in the NFL.

Um, so I do think it’s a little heavy for Kendrick to be like, “Oh, he’s not their guy.” And I’m with the, you know, dude from the podcast that was like, you know, CJ Stra don’t just grow on trees. We can’t you, we don’t have a backup that’s just waiting in the wings that we were like, “Okay, we’re sitting on a more talented dude.

 We just wanted him to get some experience.” like, nah, CJ Strad is still capable. And he shows you against the Baltimore Ravens who are, yeah, they’re depleted, but he picked him apart and, you know, handled his business. He’s already thrown for over a thousand yards in his uh first four games this season.

 So, it’s something to be said. You know what I’m saying? like he’s on pace to kind of put up numbers that were at least comparable to his rookie season. So, let me know what you guys think, man.
