Fresh off her record-breaking 40-game winning streak, recent Jeopardy! champion Amy Schneider has decided to pack in her day job to explore new opportunities as a public figure.

“Some of you may have heard, but I quit my day job yesterday!” tweeted Schneider, who worked as a software engineering manager in Oakland, California. “It’s a bit nerve-wracking to pivot from software engineer to… public figure, I guess? But regardless of the outcome I’m so excited to spend the next couple years at least tackling this new challenge!”

Schneider’s run on Jeopardy! saw her break several records, including being the first transgender contestant to participate in the show’s Tournament of Champions and becoming the winningest woman in the show’s history. She also finished in second place for consecutive wins in regular game play, surpassing fellow recent champ Matt Amodio.

Despite her impressive winning streak coming to an end on January 26, Schneider still walked away with an incredible $1,382,800 in total earnings. Now the trivia expert is weighing up how to spend her winnings, as well as fielding offers from across the entertainment industry.

“I’ve done some more press, and I’ve also been taking a ton of meetings with different people that want to work with me in various ways,” she revealed on Twitter. “[I] started to plan what charitable work I want to do, worked on a proposal for a book, a murder to plan, and Guilder to frame for it. I’m swamped!”

The book appears to be a top priority right now, as Schneider explained during a recent interview with GLAAD. “One thing is I’m going to be working on trying to write a book,” she said. “My agent, which still feels like such a weird thing to say, really wants to get moving on that real quick while the publicity is out there. That’s what I know for sure.”
